WELCOME TO RIBCRACKERS MODEL AIRPLANE CLUB
RC FLYING
We are a radio control club with members flying nitro, gas & electric powered planes, gliders and helicopters.
Ribrackers flying field has recently been accepted as an approved FRIA site for model aircraft operations and as such is exempt from the need for members to install remote ID units on their aircraft when flying from our airfield.

Our History
Ribcrackers was organized over 50 years ago as a non-profit model airplane club. At the time the primary emphasis was on control line flying with considerable effort given to public demonstrations of model aircraft flying to promote the hobby. Today, we are almost exclusively a radio control club with members flying nitro, gas & electric powered planes, gliders and helicopters.
We are approximately 65 in number with our primary emphasis on sports flying, our goals being the promotion of the safe flying of radio control models and the general advancement
of radio controlled model flight.
In the summer months Ribcrackers runs an active, free R/C pilot training program and we continue to devote our efforts to providing public demonstrations and displays as part of our responsibility to the community and our public whenever possible.

We strive to create a welcoming club atmosphere that promotes diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all. Our mission is to provide a place for likeminded individuals to share their experiences, encourage newcomers to RC flying and facilities where members can connect, learn, and grow together.
New to the RC Flying hobby ?
